This is a Dell PowerEdge R730XD server with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors. Each CPU has 22 cores, so 44 in total. They’re clocked at 2.20GHz. The machine has 256GB of DDR4 RAM installed. For storage, there are twelve 12TB 7.2K SAS hard drives. A Dell H730P RAID controller is included to handle the disks.
This configuration is well suited for backup targets, storage servers, or environments running large datasets across virtual machines or file-based workloads. The high core count allows for multi-threaded processing, while the large capacity and rotational speed of the SAS drives support consistent data throughput.
